Travel in Style: Imagine Spa at Hilton Terminal 5

By Stacey Malvern

Celebrities were out in full force to celebrate the launch of Imagine Spa at the new Hilton Terminal 5 hotel at the weekend.

I was invited along to sample the amazing delights of its new 5* spa and to indulge in some much needed celeb spotting. After a busy week, to be honest, a large glass of vino would have done the trick, but what better way to relax than in complete luxury?

After a small gaunt down the M25 and swift change, I joined the party and took in a tour of the spa. A heated hydro pool takes center stage, surrounded by aromatic sauna’s and steam rooms, each specified to either revive, replenish or relax the body.

I was particularly impressed with the water bed treatment, which mimics your own breathing to provide complete relaxation. The therapist boasted that 20 minutes on the bed was equivalent to nine hours sleep - form an orderly queue, ladies!

The soiree continued upstairs in the aptly named relaxation room. Here I nibbled on tasty canapés and champers whilst stars of The Only Way is Essex and Britain's Next Top Model mingled with bloggers and magazine Ed’s nicely. The room I spent the night in was super luxurious, a speaker in the bathroom meant I was able to catch-up on X Factor whilst brushing my teeth before bed! There’s nothing like listening to the drone of Gary Barlow mid mouthwash...

The real indulgence came the morning after when I treated to an full body exfoliation massage; according to my therapist it was the most popular treatment of the day. Using products from the range at Babor, my skin was left super soft and nourished - it’s perfect for the party season fast approaching. The treatments rooms are designed with complete relaxation in mind which left me feeling completely refreshed as I left for the day.

Without a doubt I can say the Hilton is one of the best hotel I’ve ever had the pleasure to stay with. From being greeted at reception to checking out, the staff were friendly, obliging and professional – everything you would expect from a 5* hotel.

The Hilton at Terminal 5 is much more than an over-night stay before you jet off your holidays. If you are lucky enough to spend a night there before you head off to sunnier climes, I urge you to book in for a treatment at Imagine Spa – it would be the perfect start to a fabulous holiday.
