Another musical year has quickly slipped through our fingers, and this
coming weekend, one of Europe's biggest and best music festivals,
Glastonbury, has rolled around again. Be it because the festival occurs
early in the summer, or because it is a bit of a British Institution
(something, not complete without bad weather), it pretty much always
rains at Glastonbury.

'Country' is one of those musical genres that can't seem to escape its well earned reputation. Most people can't help but thing of twangs, cowboy boots and hats, and red necks when they hear country music. And I can't really blame them. But Neko Case is an entirely different country singer.
When people ask me if I listen to country, I tell them I used to, but don't really anymore. Except for Neko Case. Then they ask "who is Neko Case?" She doesn't always get mainstream radio play - ev...

This weekend, food mongers, wine-sellers and top- restaurateurs set up shop in London’s Regents Park for the annual Taste of London Festival. Being promised ‘the gourmet day of my life’, I meandered on over, empty-stomached, and keen to find out what A Taste of London could offer over the city’s other extensive food outlets.

Lily Allen and Cheryl Cole have never been very nice to each other. In fact they’ve been publicly, viciously horrible – insults like “chick with a dick” and “stupid bitch” have been flying back and forth for ages.
But what neither of them seem to get is that even though they’re brilliant on their own, together they could rule the world. Maybe. They’d make me happy anyway.

The fact that I fell asleep halfway through the first installment did not bode well for Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, but perhaps if I’d seen it through to the end I would have been better prepared for the astoundingly poor 147 minutes of my life wasted on it.
The narrative was so utterly ridiculous that it’s hardly worth trying to explain the plot; but I might stray into spoiler territory on the journey through the film’s varying levels of fail: so if you’re at all b...

In the film industry, you have the new Funny Boy Club.
Its President is Judd Apatow, the VP is Michael Cera, with Paul Rudd and Seth Rogen splitting the Treasury and Secretarial duties and Jason Segel in charge of coordinating events. (Oh, and Jonah Hill on the phones.)
They have funny naked suites.

Like most '80s born baby girls, I grew up on fairy tales and Disney animation. Cinderella always got her Prince, and the wicked witch was always defeated. Good triumphed over evil, and you were only ever punished if you were bad.
Sure, you always got the moral of the story, but are the messages fairy tales send more sinister than they appear?

Since attending Reading Festival back in 2000, complete with pre-cynical-reform Rage Against the Machine and controversial Daphne and Celeste 'incident', I have been a full festival convert, having attended my fair share over the past 9 years.

Spies are sexy.
They just are.
Whether it's Austin Powers or James Bond or Sydney Bristow, there is something seriously sexy about espionage. And Kevin Dart knows it.
Dart is one half of the Fleet Street Scandal, which he runs with co-founder Chris Turnham, where they aims to "create high quality printed material and art...
