If you’re a fan of old school etiquette, vintage furniture, retro frocks and delicious scones, The Parlour is definitely your kind of place.
The Parloud, open daily from 12pm from March 5th through Wednesday March 10th, is a “whistful “ and “eclectic” pop-up shop where you, your friends and even your granny can gather to “engage, think, express, play games, and – most importantly – relax and enjoy a unique old-world experience.”
A mobile and laptop free zone, The Parlour is not a place for Tweeting, Blogging or Texting. Presented by MIEN Magazine, and set up in the transformed location of a historic Clerkenwell shop, the Parlour is hosted by Mistress of Manners, Dana Gornitzki, Editor of MIEN Magazine.

This past Friday and Saturday, The Parlour hosted letter writing workshops with Gornitzki, nostaligic parlour game sessions, plus vintage styling by the lovely Naomi from Vintage Secret.
Naomi brought along some of her most fabulous pieces, a lovely dress from the 1920s that still had its tag on!

One of our all-time favourite vintage hunnies, Angel Adoree, came to The Parlour on Sunday, bringing her fabulous tea and cakes for Parlour Patrons and their grandparents.
Today, The Parlour opens at noon, with more parlour games and “old fashioned merriment”, and later this week they have another letter writing workshop, more games and lovely lemonade, as well as a dedication to South American entertaining with Esnayder Cuartas, the owner of Sabor.

But beyond vintage dresses and tea, The Parlour is also selling gorgeous vintage furniture from ReStore - a north London community project aiding people in need. The Furniture on sale is tagged, and 100% of all the proceeds will go to ReStore.
In addition to the gorgeous (and highly affordable) furniture for sale, there is also quite a bit of art on sale at The Parlour, including works from Twinkle Troughton, Print Club London, and Nicoletta LaFonseca-Taylor.
The Parlour is the perfect place to spend your afternoon or evening, especially considering that you won't have to deal with nonsense on Twitter, or people chatting away about their relationship drama on their mobiles.
A safe haven of good manners, lovely things and a team of delightful hostesses - head on down to The Parlour before it shuts its doors on Wednesday evening!
