Whenever anyone freaks out at me about my love for the Kindle, I always tell the to chillax, because I do not believe that eBooks are going to kill printed books. They're just not going to, just as the internet hasn't completely killed off the print industry.
Sure, the internet has changed the way magazines and newspapers do business, but people are still going to buy Vogue and read it buy the pool on their vacation, or take The New York Times with them to their favourite coffee shop on a Saturday morning so they can do the crossword puzzle.
And with books, well, people may buy paperbacks and novels on their Kindle, but "coffee table books" - those gorgeous pieces of art that are filled with pages of stellar photography - will always still be purchased.
Take for example Terry Richardson's new photo book about Lady Gaga.
Can you imagine how many Little Monsters are going to freak out and buy this the minute it hits the shelves? (Myself and plenty of the BitchBuzz team, included?)
The new book will feature 350 color and black-and-white photos of Gaga taken over the 10 month period Richardson was given "complete access" to Gaga's every day life. So much so, that Richardson even filmed Gaga peeing in a cup. (A photo which will hopefully be entitled, "One Gaga, One Cup".)
The Lady described her relationship with Terry and the nature of the book to MTV News:
“I didn’t hold anything back from Terry. He was with me every minute, every moment. He has photographs of me waking up in the morning, brushing my teeth, in the bathroom, in the bathtub. And the thing about Terry, if you know anything about his photography, is that nothing is staged.”
Gaga says that Terry even "shot the fans the way he shot me: with no pretense", which obviously pleases Mother Monster, greatly.
Lady Gaga by Terry Richardson will be available from 22 November, but can be preordered on Amazon now!
