(Gay) Growing Pains: Kirk Cameron & Jesus Want To Save You

By Cate Sevilla

If you grew up on the '80s, chances are you remember the show Growing Pains, the great American TV show that followed the growing pains of the Seaver family. Starring Kirk Cameron, Alan Thicke and a bunch of other people I can't remember the names of - it was a great show.

For those of you pop culture junkies, you may recall hearing that Kirk Cameron grew up to become a married, Christian, baby making machine. And, coincidentally, kind of an asshole.

Now, I do not think all Christian Baby Making Machines are assholes. Not at all. I mean, just look at Hanson. However, I don't see Hanson going on Youtube saying that homosexuals are going to hell.

Cameron has a grrrrreat video on Youtube with one of his chruchy friends the conveys the fantastic message of, "We Christians need to find a better way to tell homosexuals that  they're wrong and going to hell than screaming at them that 'God hates Fags' - even though, technically, he does."

This clip will blow your mind. It starts out OK, you think, "Wow, maybe they're going to talk about how homosexuals can be Christians, too!" And then they bust out the Bible and start reading aloud about how men shouldn't lay with other men and that homosexual Christians aren't really Christians because they just don't get what repentance really means!

Awesome, no? I've learned so much.

I mean, all this coming from a guy who's best friend on TV was named Boner.

In case you would like to learn what a proper marriage and how a proper Christian behaves, make sure to check out Kirk Cameron's website that has the trailer to his new movie: Fireproof. Please note that the O's in Fireproof are wedding rings. If you haven't laughed this morning, this trailer for do it for you. (As well as clearing out your bowels if you're constipated.)

God bless, y'all!

Special thank you to LolaLuLu for the heads up!

I guess filming in San Francisco just drives the point home, eh?

Around the 2:30 mark, my head exploded. The old dude is talking about how what feels right isn't right and uses the example that a man wanting to commit adultery shouldn't just because it feels right because if he acts on his feelings, he's committing a moral sin. Problem is, a minute before, Mike Seaver told us that the mere thought of lust is a moral sin. So sounds to me like super dick is screwed if he doesn't, screwed if he does.

I wish for just one day, God would make all the pious assholes in this world gay so they could understand that hey guess what? You can't just decide to be saved and suddenly not be gay...that you can't flip that switch. It isn't like "Well, I really want to steal that pack of gum but I won't 'cause that would be wrong. Damn my sinful nature and deceitful heart."

I do want to ensure people that not all Christians are like these idiots. Take me for instance...
