From burlesque dancers to welly wanging, to strutting sausage dogs, the Covent Garden Fashion Fete was truly the place to be Saturday afternoon.
From 11am to 6pm, Londoners, Fashionistas and Toursists alike bobbed for apples, dressed up like fairy tale characters and Anna Wintour, and decoreated and chowed down on as many cupcakes as humanly possible.
For the dog lovers, the London Fashion Woof dog show proved to be very successful, and while the Dauchsand won Best in Show, after winning best strut....

Our personal favorite dog was also the Best Dressed – the gorgeous Megan:

If you didn’t have your pet with you, you could still purchase some lovely accessories for them from the LoveMyDog stall, including this gorgeous Bitch blanket. (Which I wish I would have bought for myself...)

Unfortunately, LoveMyDog is plum out of the Bitch blankets, but they do still have a Bitch dog coat!
WAH nails were out and about, decorating the masses' nails with leopard spots, neon bling or, in my case, cupcakes.

The Anna Wintour Fan Booth proved to be one of the most popular at the Fete, with men, women and even children dressing up like the most fashionable Ice Queen in all the land.
Here is my attempt at impersonating Wintour. Or maybe Lady GaGa. I'm not sure.

Directly across from the Anna Wintour photo booth was our personal favorite addition to the Covent Garden Fashion Fete – the ever fabulous Angela Doree and her Vintage Patisserie.
And as if the Vintage Patisserie wasn’t glamorous enough, Slinky Sparkles, the “Glittering Burlesque and Pin-Up Queen” emerged around 3 o’clock to wow us all with her fan dancing.

The men were in awe, the women were filled with both jealousy and admiration....and a sudden urge to put down the cupcakes and head to the gym.

Slinky Sparkles twirled and posed around the pop-up Patisserie with elegance, poise and grace, as well as one of the most perfect bottoms on the face of the earth. Just a humble observation.
I was also at the Covent Garden Fashion Fete to judge a cupcake decorating competition, and after much contemplation – the fabulous Kirby from Duchess Magazine won the grande prize of a cupcakes and a vintage cake stand from the Vintage Patisserie! Congrats, Kirby.
I also tried my hand at decorating the cupcakes. Behold the BitchBuzz Cupcake:

The Covent Garden Fashion Fete was an amazing event, embracing fashion, style, food, drinks, cute dogs and fun. It perfectly reflected what London is all about, and served as an example that London Fashion Week should be fun –not just stuffy, starving and svelte.
